Your Friendly Estate Planning Lawyer.
Estate planning is for everyone over the age of eighteen, or legally emancipated. If you are twenty- or thirty-something you may consider estate planning premature, but if you have children, or plan to, it is important to plan for your future, and theirs!
Okay, so you need estate planning, but what is an ‘estate’? Your estate is anything you own or may own, now or in the future, as well as people who depend on you. So your estate might be a house, a cabin, a car, a boat, bank accounts, 401k accounts, insurance policies, retirements, and anything you may inherit, or a right to sue for your injury or death. Then, there are your children who are under the age of eighteen, or adults such as your aged parents. All these things depend upon you for care. Estate planning ensures they are all properly taken care of if you are unable due to absence, illness, or death.
So absence, illness or death are not your favorite subjects, but the sooner you plan for them, the better. You never know what tomorrow might bring, and once a plan is in place, it is one less thing you have to worry about. Best of all, the plan can be formulated and executed from the comfort of your home!
As the name implies, Estate planning requires some planning. Good news is, I can come to you. We can sit down in your favorite spot and hash out the details. You can view the documents via our online client portal as they are developed. Then the final part, or “execution” can again be done in the comfort of your home, including a visiting notary as part of our service!
What is this plan we will execute? That all depends on your individual needs. Whether it be a “Ladybird” deed, financial and medical powers of attorney, advance medical directives, wills, trusts, or all of the above. We can plan, draft, then execute as simple, or as complex a plan as you need.
Having a plan makes things much simpler in the event you are unable to take care of things yourself, lets you ensure your property and children are taken care of in the manner you wish them to be, and is more economical than leaving it to a Court to figure out after the unexpected happens.

“We contacted Paul to update our will. With our adult children now grown and families of their own, we needed to have a plan in place. Paul took time to explain everything, answering any questions and concerns that we had. He was thorough with every detail. We now have a sense of security for our family after we are gone. We would recommend Paul for any of your legal needs.”

Mr. Taylor was thoroughly helpful to me on my unemployment overpayment case. I found him knowledgeable, responsive, kind, and able to provide clear concise advice in a situation I found overwhelming and confusing. I would recommend his office to anyone and will contact him if I run into another problem.

“Paul is that kind of guy that actual cares about your issues. You can tell by the interest he shows in your case that he is there to earn it and is not ‘in it for a quick buck.’ “
